Trainings on the identification and management of unaccompanied minors who are victims of trafficking

The training activities that took place on the Greek islands of Samos, Chios and Mitilini concerning the tool that facilitates the identification and management of victims of trafficking among unaccompanied minors entering Greece via the Greek-Turkish borders, have been completed. The training activities were addressed to border guards, First Reception Centers’ personnel, coast guards, and to health and social science professionals.

The trainings were organized by the Department of Mental Health and Social Welfare of the Institute of Child Health and were facilitated by representatives of:

a) the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights, b) members of law enforcement agencies trained on Frontex’s tool on child trafficking cases, c) the Department of Mental Health and Social Welfare of the Institute of Child Health

The next scheduled trainings will be held:

  • In Athens at the end of June 2015
  • In Oresteiada at the beginning of July 2015
