“Their Voice” Project: Intervention for unaccompanied minors in shelters around Greece

The intervention for unaccompanied minors, which consists of workshops that combine Social Theatre and Psychology, and aims to inform them about their rights, to sensitize them on the dangers/risks they are exposed to as unaccompanied minors-especially to trafficking- and to work on possible ways of confronting risks and protect themselves, has been held so far in the three following hostels for unaccompanied minors:

  • “Mellon” shelter for unaccompanied minors in Athens (NGO “NOSTOS”)
  • “Shelter for Unaccompanied Minors Seeking Asylum in Oraiokastro, Thessaloniki” (NGO “ARSIS”)
  • “Shelter for Unaccompanied Minors Seeking Asylum in Makrinitsa, Volos” – (NGO “ARSIS”)

Currently, “Their Voice” project is being run in the Drop-In Centre for Unaccompanied Minors in Patras (NGO “PRAKSIS”) and in mid-June 2015 the intervention will be held at “Stegi Plus(+)/ Accomodation Center for Minor Asylum Seekers in Patras (NGO “PRAKSIS”).
